Then there is the Majorella botanic garden which was bought by Yves St Laurent in 1980. This is a very peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech.
The region has been inhabited by Berber farmers since Neolithic times and there is an interesting Berber museum situated in the gardens as well as exotic plants and pond life.
